ODM drains the hopes of its supporters due to failure in proper conduction of grassroots elections.

ODM party is the largest party in East and Central Africa with majority of supporters from all corners of the regions that exists along East and Central Africa, it is the most popular party in kenya and the most respected party in Kenya. despite being the best performing party, it seems the competition has become less stiff to the leaders of the same party therefore forgetting the interest and will of the people. The party has been conducting its grassroots elections in the last four months where the recent one was done in early December in Kisii, Nyamira and Homa Bay counties. The party elections were meant to strengthen the party from polling station level to the county level hopefully it would have been well conducted contrary to the current situation at the scenes, it was realized that these elections created more divisions across the ODM strong zones just because party did not offer them the services they were promised. People paid money from Ksh. 200 to 50,000 to be allowed to take part in the said elections excluding the cash that they used to campaign in their various positions, the people expected the services to be rendered according to their wish not some self interested individual's wish. The elections were only conducted at polling station level since party never paid much attention at that level. It was again realized that elections from ward levels were much interfered with since those who call themselves owners of the party had their people of choice not party supporters choice, this was seen in various counties when leaders claiming to be close allies of the Party leader Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga went ahead and formed camps that had just left great divisions on party members and supporters. Many announced themselves to be the duly elected leaders at various capacity of the available slots. This is very dangerous since we are approaching  national elections and as ODM supporters should be united not divided as we currently see. The party leader should intervene and help the situation before it goes to the burning side for him to be assured of presidency come 2017, he must know that the current leaders claiming to be his advisers and opinion leaders are not doing much to him but playing self interest politics, they are out to do business with ODM to the extent of minting money from various institutions and individuals promising them to offer soft landings come 2017. Top party officials have decided to take sides, they have forgotten their roles and become as petty as campaigning and playing market politics around the villages. I wish to inform the party leader that if he really need the statehouse come 2017 then he must now show his leadership skills and clean the house or else he will be much disappointed come that time when his current friends will be happily reaping as he looses. He must not allow the current stupidity and madness shown by branch and county officials in various counties since he have got the capacity to create order in the party.
