RELIEF TO HOMA BAY COUNTY RESIDENTS AS THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT SUPPLIED HEALTH FACILITIES WITH DRUGS/ PHARMACEUTICALS.

There has been several complains from the public who seeks medical services in Homa Bay County Referral Hospital, they have been complaining of lack of drugs and pharmaceuticals that has been hindering services provided in the health facility but now a smile has been put on their faces as the county government receives Drugs and non-pharmaceuticals worth Sh40million,
with over 600 boxes of syringes, gloves and examination equipment among the supplies.
The head of pharmacy at the health facility Dr. Ben Otieno said the equipment had been paid for a longtime ago and they were only awaiting delivery by Kenya Medical Supplies Agency.
The non-pharmaceuticals delivered will serve the county referral and the sub-county health facilities for four months. County Chief officer for Health, Duncan Ojiem said the department is working on a steady supply programme to ensure the availability of non-pharmaceuticals and drugs.
“I am happy the drugs and non-pharmaceutical have been delivered by KEMSA even though they had delayed. We are working hard to ensure accountability in the utilization of these supplies,” Mr. Ojiem said adding that the department will order thenext supply in three months.
This will now change political direction that had been taken before by various aspirants eyeing the gubernatorial position who has been using the drug inadequacy in health facilities as a tool to fight and incite the community against the county government.

I HAVE MY OWN BROWN ENVELOPE: GOVERNOR JOHO TELLS JUBILEE.

Speaking today in Mombasa county where ODM party was celebrating its 10th anniversary, Governor Joho said he is not interested in any envelope from Jubilee Party since he was blessed by God to also own several envelopes. His statement charged ODM supporters where everyone was dancing and showing moments of joy from all angles. Governor Joho is currently a darling of ODM supporters world wide since his loyalty to the party leader is unquestionable.

KARACHUONYO MP HON. JAMES REGE OFFICIALLY JOINED JUBILEE PARTY FROM ODM.

Hon. Rege today officially joined jubilee party after ditching ODM, the MP. Who has been inactive in ODM activities since his second election by the same party to represent Karachuonyo today showed his solidarity with the Jubilee officials. It has been long overdue for this decision but today it was clearly marked and the constituents are now waiting for the next action to be taken by the ODM officials. Demonstrations were observed in Karachuonyo this evening when the constituents demanded the MP. To leave Karachuonyo and join President Uhuru in Gatundu home since they don't need him anymore.

REMARKS OF RT. HON RAILA ODINGA; EGH; ODM PARTY LEADER AT THE 10TH ANNIVESARY CELEBRATIONS OF ODM; MOMBASA, SEPTEMBER 10, 2016:

Our land is littered with epitaphs and unmarked graves of opposition parties that arrived with pomp and died without notice. Here, only the fittest survive.

Today, the fittest of them all, ODM is here to thank all of you who have kept the faith, who have been there in good and bad times, who have shed tears at our lowest moments and also celebrated our moments of triumph.
I am grateful for the privilege to speak to you as the leader of Kenya’s single largest political party marking its decade of fighting for Kenyans.

We have a reason and a history to celebrate. We are the party of the Constitution. When the forces of status quo walked out on Kenyans at the Bomas of Kenya and came up with the Kilifi Draft, we are the party that said no. We stood up for an overhaul, not a panel beating of the old constitution.

We dared them to a duel and we beat them hands down.

Within the Constitution, we stood up for something higher, bigger and radical; Devolution. When we said Kenya is ripe for County governments, the status quo questioned our patriotism and accused us of Balkanizing the country.

But we remembered the words of Martin Luther King Jr:
Cowardice asks the question, is it safe?
Expediency ask the question, is it politic?
Vanity asks the question, is it popular?
But, conscience ask the question, is it right?
And there comes a time when we must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because it is right.”

Because we in ODM did not retreat, today, we have county governments. They are still fighting devolution.

We are still fighting for devolution.
We assure Kenyans that ODM shall neither slumber nor sleep until Devolution is fully entrenched as part and parcel of the Kenyan life.

We anchor the dreams of our founding fathers for liberty and justice and the rule of law. We carry the dreams of the progressive forces that removed Section 2(a) of the Constitution that made Kenya a one party state.

ODM is the buffer between freedom and a return to fully-fledged dictatorship, not just here in Kenya but in the entire eastern Africa region.

We are ready to return to the trenches for everything we hold dear; for a nation that is free, that shares justly, equitably and fairly.
We are Orange and we are proud of it.

Today, we are here to say thank you to those who have showed up without asking for money, without asking whether it is safe, for transport, for food, when the party has called on you to respond to the distress call of our nation. May you live long for our country.

As we gather here, the very forces that have caused us misery, the forces behind Eurobond and NYS scandals and the grabbing of school land are gathering in Nairobi to plot how to give us more of the same pain.

These are the forces that campaigned against the constitution, whose names bless every corruption scandal, who have presided over extra-judicial executions.

The same forces who have benefited from land injustices and tribe-based appointments are trying to hoodwink us that they are the change Kenya has been waiting for.

So as we celebrate our past, the central question that must be in our minds is, “What next must ODM do for Kenya?”

We must therefore issue a new call to action for our beloved nation. We must not live in the memory of our past victories but join hands and roll up our sleeves again and begin a new push for the final liberation of Kenya.

In ODM, we believe in the people and the power of the people. It is because of you that we have won past battles. It is because of you that we have become the largest party by geographical reach.

It is because of you that we have begun the process of reforming the IEBC.

Jubilee had said no.  It is because of you that we have held the highest number of elective seats ever since we entered electoral politics. In the 2007, we became the majority party, with 99 MPs. We also beat an incumbent and won the presidential contest.

Researchers from the University of California, San Diego found that we finished nearly 6 points ahead of PNU in 2007. The International Republican Institute put our lead at eight percent.

In the 2013, ODM won 16 out of the 47 governor positions, 101 seats in the National Assembly, 17 Senate and 598 MCA slots. All independent analysis has shown that together with our partners Wiper and Ford-Kenya, we won the presidential race too.

Don’t be told that incumbents cannot be beaten.  We have beaten incumbents before and we shall do it again because we know you will be there.

We continue to cherish the CORD partnership and we will strengthen it. With your mandate, we will invite more leaders and parties to join us.

As we embark on the journey for the next ten years, we must mobilize and push new frontiers of good governance.

We have a landmark election coming next year. We must mobilize to win it.

Then we will deal a death blow to the old order that is regrouping and end the culture of impunity that has seen this region lose so many sons and daughters through State-sanction extra-judicial executions in the name of fighting terrorism.

Let then each of us leave this venue with a new conviction to bring new converts armed with voter’s cards on board.

Let’s tell our brothers and sisters, fathers and fathers out there that if they believe in defending the Constitution, they belong in ODM.

If they believe in equity, they belong in ODM.
If they believe in inclusivity, they belong in ODM.

If they believe in justice, they belong in ODM.
If they believe in a nation in which no one goes to bed in an empty stomach, they belong in ODM.

If they believe in a Kenya free of corruption and impunity, they belong in ODM.
If they believe that devolution is the way to go, that counties must be protected and not undermined, ODM is the place for them.

Let us tell our people to get out of Pharaoh’s palace where they are currently feasting and dash for freedom.

And let us summon the courage and tell the Pharaoh, “let our people go.”

Thank you. God Bless ODM. God bless Kenya.

ODM PARTY WILL CONDUCT ITS NOMINATIONS FAIRLY IN 2017

It has been an impression in the past that ODM rewards its cronies with party certificate against the will of the people and that for one to get hold of the party certificate, he/she must part with good amount for him/her to succeed. Speaking in Kajiado County , ODM chairman Hon. John Mbadi  clearly indicated that this coming party nominations will show great changes made in the party under his leadership, he noted that no one will be handed certificate if not voted by the people , " handpicking and imposing leaders will not be accepted at any point." Said Hon. Mbadi. The  chairman  visited Musiro ward in Kajiado West Constituency to show solidarity and support to ODM candidate who was picked on agreement by the Kurko clan to carry the mantle as the ODM candidate in the upcoming elections in Masiro ward.
He was accompanied by Governor David Nkendianye,
Pareno Judith -chairlady for Elections Board and Oduor On'gwen-Executive Director among others.

THREE SENATORS ENDORSED PROF. NYONG'O FOR KISUMU COUNTY GUBERNATORIAL POST IN 2017.

As

we approach general election period, most of the senators have shown interest to vie for the Gubernatorial seats in Kenya and Hon. Nyong'o Senator for Kisumu county is one of them, yesterday as he was launching his bid for the same , he got backups from his colleagues who promised to rally behind him even though they are not voters in Kisumu County. Speaking yes in Seme kit mikai Kisumu county , the leaders poured praised to Senator Nyong'o like a bursted river .
" Senator Nyong'o understands devolution more than the word devolution so I will support him by all means since I have known him for long and we have done a lot together. " Said Senator Omar Hassan.
" Since the people of Seme have decided that their son must be the Governor for Kisumu come 2017, I will not object instead support him for the same since he has shown great leadership qualities that can take his people to a higher level compared to the current leadership, I therefore endorse Him as the right candidate for the Gubernatorial position come 2017 and may God answer my prayers." Said Senator Moses Otieno Kajwang.
" To the people of Kisumu you are blessed to have a learned man in your midst, Senator Nyong'o is one of the respected leaders in Kenya so whatever he wants , I will always give it out without thinking otherwise,  therefore I too endorse Him as the right candidate you must vote in come 2017 if really change is needed in Kisumu County."
" Our common interest as a County is to harness our knowledge, skills, experience, resources and networks to realise the dream of making Kisumu County a place to feel at home for all of us. I send special gratitude to every single person who joined us today in Seme in our journey of building a peaceful, prosperous and secure County that offers dignified and meaningful opportunities for all to realize their full potential." Concluded Senator Nyong'o
The move has attracted several opinions from the residents where most of them are complaining that they might end up having leaders who are not their choices since most these people have powers to get certificates , " We might have leaders of the party not the people if we are not keen since these leaders have been in leadership for close to 30 years but nothing much has yield from them , now they appear as if this is the new political position different from what they have been having before, let ODM Party be keen on its nominations this time round for we are tired of imposed leaders, I think some lessons were gotten when we elected Hon. Olago Aluoch on another party's ticket." Said one of the residents
" Let him exercise his political rights for what I know if the people are actually with him, then they will elect him but if they will not be satisfied with his leadership then they will show that through showing the exit to to politics, we only request for the nomination process to be free and fair ." Said another resident
